Is there something you miss having at picnics because of your gluten-free requirements? Make it and bring it along! Store-bought gluten-free items (from a grocery store or one of our wonderful local gluten-free bakeries) are also welcome! \nTo accommodate everyone as best as we can\, we will provide labels for you to indicate any additional allergens in your dish. Please bring a gluten-free dish (dessert or side) to share along with the recipe/ingredients. We will label all dishes that are egg\, soy\, dairy\, and nut-free\, (and vegetarian) so please alert us to any allergens when you RSVP. We also have some coupons from GF vendors\, samples from Eban’s Bakehouse\, and lots of new products to try from Wegmans!!!!\n\n\n\nInstead of asking you to bring homemade items as in years past – we are trying to make sure everyone feels comfortable/safe\, so this year we are asking that you bring:\nSTOREBOUGHT/UNOPENED Gluten Free Chips\, Dips or Desserts\nOR Gluten Free desserts purchased from a local gluten free bakery. \nThe Pavilion is open on two sides\, so there is plenty of air flow. We like the ordering terminology “I need this whole order prepared GF for CELIACS.” For Celiac prep\, we change gloves\, get fresh knives and cutting boards\, brand new ingredients that haven’t been cross-contaminated\, etc…\n \nWe are a shared space with gluten\, but follow safe handling practices and have been without any reported incidents for several years now!  Staff education is key: We have separate prep surfaces for gluten / gluten-free\, no cross-contamination ingredient bins\, wiping in-between prep tasks\, not sharing cutting boards/knives\, sending all dishes and baking pans thru high-temp dish machines in-between uses. Our two baking supervisors both have Celiac Disease and other food allergies! Our pastry case has gluten & GF items in it\, but the GF items are kept on the top shelf and gluten on the bottom. Pastry tongs are single-use and never share between items.\n \nWe are a vegan restaurant\, so we are by default a great spot for people who are allergic to dairy\, eggs\, shellfish & honey.
